Dear Parents/Caregivers

Term Four – The last term of 2015, hard to believe! Another very busy, exciting and fun-filled term lies ahead. Before we know it ten weeks will have passed us by and we will be wishing each other happy holidays.  A few of the highlights this term are the Science Fair, Athletics, Calendar Art and WPS Carnival.

POHUTUKAWA will be focusing on:

PYP – Week 1 – 7   How the world works

People’s understanding of the properties of physical phenomena has led to technological advances.

PYP - Week 8 - 10  How we express ourselves

A person’s behaviour and how they choose to present themselves project aspects of their identity.

POHUTUKAWA ESSENTIAL AGREEMENT

HOMEWORK

Is set on Monday and returned on Friday.  No homework during Week 1 or 8, 9 and 10 this term.  Homework will be inquiry based and will also include spelling and Mathletics .

ZERO WASTE

A friendly reminder to you that WPS is now a zero waste school.  This means that there are no longer landfill waste bins at school.  Zero waste lunch boxes!  Any waste brought to school must be taken home. Green leaves will be given to students who have zero waste.  These will go towards house points.
